         Minnesota Dawah Institute:

Educational Programs: Summary of activities/services

·         General Educational Programs: These programs are mainly for youth and adults specifically designed to educate community members about general knowledge, share information regarding educational career choices, choosing colleges, how to succeed in school, study skills and how to prepare for academic success. The programs are focused on relevant issues pertaining to the daily lives of adults and youths in the community.

·         Homework/Academic Help Center: There is a great need for this program as many students come to the Center for various program activities, for instance students who take part in martial art class attend the program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If any student who attends this program needed any academic help, the center will provide two hours help before the martial art class starts. The two hours before the class is an ideal time to help students who needed academic help, because after the martial art class ends at about 9:00 pm. Student will be exhausted to conduct any meaningful study. Other times of academic help are scheduled according to the availability of volunteers. Other programs for adults like ESL and GED preparation are being planned.
